Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania / 27th of July 1960. Janette has worked as an exhibiting fine artist since 1992. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas and wood panels—occasionally with mixed media on various materials. Graduated in 1981 from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, with a degree in Visual Communication.
Among the many galleries and museums her work has shown are Elizabethtown College, Art Association of Harrisburg, Lancaster Museum of Art, Pittsburgh's Boxheart Gallery, YorkArts, Penn State University, Middletown Campus, the Whitaker Center, Harrisburg, and Garth Gallery, Columbia, Pennsylvania. Her work is in numerous private collections throughout the United States and the Netherlands, as well as, in corporate collections such as Lancaster General Hospital, Armstrong Industries, the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, and Penn State Health Medical Center, Lancaster. Her work was also selected for the Healing Arts book, published by Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health.

Since 2005, Janette has also been painting large-scale murals and scenic art for a number of clients. Among them, Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, Bass Pro Shops throughout the East Coast of the United States, the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater, and numerous private commissions. Currently, she works as the scenic artist/painter for the American Music Theatre, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Janette Toth has had her work selected for four separate years at the Art of the State Exhibit, Pennsylvania State Museum, Harrisburg.
